Originating in Italy, and also known as drage, these sweets have become well known all over the world! Traditionally they are given as favours to wedding guests and usually five at a time to symbolise health, wealth, happiness, long life and fertility. A sugar frosting encases a roasted almond in a pretty parcel, perfect as the finishing touch to any table.
